Digital Photography Review has just published an extensive review of the CanonPowershot S90.

Canon S90 Review

The Canon S90 is probably all most photography enthusiasts will ever need and in some respects is far superior to DSLRs. The little camera can be taken everywhere and unlike a DSLR, won't weigh you down nor cost more than a 7-day cruise.
Camera makers have been getting away with the myth that bigger, more expensive is better, but looking at the actual images the cameras produce there is little difference between a full frame, DX or point and shoot camera.
Don't believe me?
Search FlickR for Canon S90. Look at the results and then explain to yourself why you need to spend more than $380.00 for a camera!
Yes, the full frame camera is much better in low light action shooting situations but for general purpose shooting such as flowers, pets, cars, buildings or anything else that's a slow mover or does not move at all, the point and shoot will deliver just as good an image as that massive full frame blunderbus.
Getting a point and shoot camera and spending the rest on a cruise makes a lot more sense than blowing your wad of cash on a full frame back breaker that will only be a cool camera for about two years.

Thanks for looking and clicking!
