The most interesting part of Allamoore Texas is probably how it got it's name. The story goes that the first postmistress went by the name of Alla R Moore. She opened the post office back in 1888 and some 200 people were coming to pick up their mail from Alla Moore.
For me the only interesting subject to photograph was the American Talc Company plant.

Nothing special here except I had never seen a talc plant and I do like the gritty factory look of the place. I composed the picture from a very low angle with the Nikon D90 set on aperture priority, ISO 200. I was using the Nikkor 18-200mm lens and had it set at f/5.6, shutter speed was 1/1250.

This is my favorite image of the lot because it shows that dry, powdery, dusy look of West Texas. The rusty rail car just added to the image in my view. The camera settings were the same as the first picture.

This was the final shot I took of the talc plant and for that matter Allamoore Texas.
