El Paso Zoo Has A New Lion Exhibit

click on image for a full view

El Paso's zoo is very small for a city of nearly half a million people, but the folks that run the zoo appear to be photography friendly. The new lion exhibit is a good example of how to please everyone.
I shot this image with my Sony A350, Tamron 200-500mm tele set on 280mm, f/5.6. Shutter speed was 1/800 because I shot this handheld. I set the ISO to 400.
I was able to combine two of my favorite photography elements:
Move in as close as possible and get the head on shot when photographing wildlife with big teeth.
